Mobile Feline Fix Day in Kilauea next Wednesday, July 22

Please take action to help curb Kauai’s homeless cat population and have your cat spayed or neutered for FREE!  Our mobile feline fix day is in Kilauea next week Wednesday at 4400 Kilauea Rd.  We will be there by 8am.  Drop your cat off in the morning and pick him or her up that afternoon.  All cats must be in a carrier.  $5 microchips required.  Call 632-0610 for more info. 

Very Sad Day

The partnership with a horse is like no other – sharing a horse’s strength with a gentle human hand is the most rewarding relationship with an animal built on mutual trust.  This trust has been broken with the cruel murder of Earl, the retired ropehorse and the painful shooting to his friend, Buddy.  My heart goes out to the Ellsworth family for their great loss.  A very sad day for all of Kauai.  

We need to get this bad guy off the streets.  Shooting a helpless horse for no other reason then a need for power and control over something with violence is a very serious threat to our community.   Someone knows him.   We offer a reward of $10,000 for information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the bad guy who shot Earl and Buddy.  Please call Crimestoppers NOW 241-1887

Thrift Shop Needs Your Help

During these hard economic times, our thrift shop is needed more than ever.  We have an urgent need for more volunteers to keep our store hours open.  The shop helps both the community and the animals.  Please, if you have some time available, go visit with Adria, the shop manager or call 245-7387.  Volunteers help stock shelves, cashier, assist customers, keep the store clean and organized, and whatever else is needed.  We need your help now.  Our thrift shop funding is critical for services we provide to the community and is a great place to shop for the best deals in town.  Please consider our thrift shop first when donating your used clothing or household goods.  Mahalo for your support, Dr. Becky
